Artist Bio

My name is Melody Armijo. I am a freelance makeup artist with a lash brand in the making. My passion for makeup has only progressed over the years. Coming out of high school I decided to major in nursing because I assumed id be the only member of the family to actually go through with pursuing a medical degree. Meanwhile entertaining a hobby, by going to Cosmo Makeup Academy. I found my one true calling and a lifelong future career. As I say, the face is the perfect canvas. I am an artist. Although the compensation is a bonus I feel the real "reward" and I say reward lightly because I truly find my career to be life-changing and eye-opening in so many positive ways. Each look I create is a piece of artwork and I proudly say I thrive off of it. 'd be lying if I said I didn't love my job. After Hours is unique. Why you may ask? Well, A makeup artist is responsible for visually transforming people's' appearance. I love to see the transformation in my clients throughout the process not only physically but emotionally as well. All in all, it's fairly simple. I simply love what I do.
